| Battling the weight and emotions |

Monday: Joined Weight Watchers Tuesday: Joined the YMCA down the street, exercised with bleakenigma Tomorrow: Do laps with tygerdsebat Friday: Meeting @ the Y for equipment fitting.
I'm fairly energized right now and feeling good, but I have this nagging feeling in me that when I hit some depressive episode or just when I have a low opinion of myself, I'll fail like I have every time. This scares me a lot, because I do want to lose the weight. I want to lose 200 lbs and be in my 'healthy' BMI.
I'm also trying hard not to do this myself. Every time I've kept it all to myself I've failed, so perhaps if I keep talking about it with friends and ask that they keep me accountable, go to WW meetings and have them keep me accountable, and go to talk therapy so that I can work out the emotions that put me here in the first place... maybe I'll have a fighting chance.
You can see my Weight watchers blog, as it's publicly available. I'm aiming for a post every night, and posted last night about my monthly goals.
I'll have to see what I can replace eating with when I'm stressed / depressed / etc. It feels like it's an escape, so perhaps something else I can escape into would be appropriate. I'm thinking video games, as it allows my brain to turn off a bit and I need that from time to time. It could get expensive, but I suppose eating out (and pigging out) every time I got sad was too.

| | amused | ] | The time has come to celebrate another year of my life! Although my actual birthday is October 4th, this Saturday will have to do (October 3rd). So, I do believe a get together at the FTS compound is in order. It'll be BYO???? (beer, foods, etc), although I'll be sure to provide some cake, soda, snacks, and maybe some burgers. We'll definitely have the grill and a fire going.
No RSVP necessary, but if you'd like to give me an idea of how many people are showing up that'd be nice. Or holler if you need directions. |
